Exploring the day-to-day reality of a self-supporting community.
In a VTBT community, the K–12 school is the focus. It isn't just for children; it is a place for the whole village to access all the tools that allow lifelong learning and professional services. By placing the school at the center, we ensure that every neighbor has access to the tools they need to succeed at any stage of life.
Our villages prioritize small, inexpensive houses to keep living costs low. These homes are surrounded by small-scale agriculture, providing fresh food, local jobs, and a direct connection to the land and a rich civic life.
True freedom comes from independence. We look at both greenfield (new land) and in-fill (existing urban) design patterns to create villages that produce their own utilities and sustain their own infrastructure, reducing the burden on taxpayers and the environment.
